The EECI Open Water Diving Program is a pioneering initiative designed to empower and inspire Black and Brown men and women by providing them access to the field of scuba diving, with a particular emphasis on opportunities within the Port of Los Angeles. This groundbreaking program seeks to create a level playing field in the maritime sector, enabling participants to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the community.

The program, supported by AltaSea at the Port of Los Angeles, opens doors to scuba diving. It equips community members of all ages with the knowledge and skills to engage with ocean science and emerging developments in the field. Graduates receive their Professional Divers Certification.
